Wow. Thank you for the outpouring of support, my friends and lurkers, about my computer crisis. I'm touched that you guys are so helpful and giving at my difficult time of computerlessness. (And thank you, Cheryl, for letting me use the computer on which I currently type these thanks.)

I know we'll find a solution to recovering my files, and eventually (maybe sooner than we think? Thanks, Mom? Stop reading this?) I'll have a new computer of my own.

And, like Tina returning to Ike, I'll definitely be getting another Mac. I'm a Mac-sochist.
