Christmas Eve started out, predictably, with my Dad being loud and obnoxious and rude and driving everyone in the house to the bedrooms to get away from him. Also, some cancellations due to illness. (i.e. no Moose and Squirrel. But it was saved. It was saved because our theme this year is "Regional Americana", and our Christmas Eve meal consisted of a variety of hot dogs and regional toppings (New York, Chicago, LA, Detroit, St Louis, etc - my mom did the research.) To fit with the theme, we also enjoyed surprisingly hot pictures of our shirtless President-Elect before the meal. By the time we all had plates full of grub and A Christmas Story playing on the tv, the evening took a more jolly tone.
