So. Happy Throgsgrafen, everyone.

So. The Halal turkey we got for Cheryl's non-boyfriend-boy-pal. It came freshly killed from the Halal butcher yesterday. This morning, Miss Pena and I rose to prepare it for the oven and as I ripped the bag off of it, its head popped out and stared at me with one beady black eye.

Yes. Its head was still attached.

So were its feet.

We screamed, and laughed, and screamed, and I woke Mush up so he could complete the, er, butchering process.

I guess it's good to reminded that what I eat is an animal that gave up its life for my fulfillment, but I'm completely unused to having my food looking at me. Before coffee, at that.
