Dave rules. Broken links? Bring 'em on! Praise and love? For me, I mean, not Dave? Remembering that I am not Dave, but merely a fan, and can't contact him for you? Right here, baby!

Announcement-type things or what-have-you in the world o' Dave:

I'm going to share a couple of emails I got from my friend, Djin. She was contacted by a Minnesota firefighting instructor who was looking for a KITH sketch to show his students.

Tavie:

This is the first letter I got from Mick. It sort of explains the point he wants to illustrate behind Dave and Kevin's fireman sketch. Pretty cool, eh? Bet they had no idea :)

Subject: can you help a fire service instructor?

I am looking for a kids in the hall sketch to show to the students in the firefighter classes I teach..

Specifically I am looking for the one where dave foley has purchased his own fire engine and chases the town's engine to fires.

One problem we have in the fire service is something called "freelancing" where firefighter try to do too much by themselves. this sketch would be a great way to illustrate that point.

It would be wonderful if you could help me or point me in the right direction.

Thank You,

Firefighter Mick

and the follow-up:

Tavie:

This is the second letter I got from Mick. He's a firefighter instructor in New Hope, MN. I think it's pretty cool that the Kids' humor can help people laugh through some pretty tough circumstances :)

Plus, watching all those tapes today made me appreciate their humor all over again. It's a bonus to know what good people they are. I wish they'd tour again--I sure do miss them!

Great! I am so glad you have it! You can send it at your convenience. let me know if i can pay anything for the cost of you doing this. I was a big kids in the hall fan as a young man and had no idea that their sketches would help me teach in the future.

Again thank you very much. By doing this you'll be helping firefighters laugh (which we all need right now) and learn.

Mick
