I recently changed my desktop at work to a painting by one of my all-time favourite artits, Mary Blair.
I've loved her work since before I knew who she was. She was a conceptual artist for Disney in the 1950's, designing for films like Peter Pan, Cinderella, Song of the South, The Three Caballeros, The Little House and Alice and Wonderland. She also designed the It's a Small World ride and my beloved mural on the Grand Canyon Concourse of Disney's Contemporary Resort. (See my pitifully dark attempt at snapping the five-legged goat.)
I'd lusted after a coffee-table book about her for years and finally indulged myself with the Amazon certificate I got for my birthday this year.
See more of her work here and here.

I wish she was still alive and would design a new blog layout for me. Why are you in Tavie's head? 9:42 PM | shower me with attention
