I am delighted that Mother Goose seems as taken with my perceived charms as I am with her real ones. She is, quite bluntly put, a Cool Mom. The good kind. She doesn't try too hard; she simply is. We chatted about many things, from yellow bricks to Scott Thompson to the elegance of railway travel. I think she is the bee's knees.

I enjoyed the majority of the music Goose played for me yesterday, although she has a perplexing tendency to cut off a song after her favourite part and jump on to the next CD. I wonder if she has ADD.

Goose lent me several children's books that I missed growing up. I am engrossed in Harriet the Spy, but wish I hadn't seen the movie first because I keep picturing Rosie O'Donnell.
