    I have terrible skin. I always have had terrible skin...dry, ugly, horrible skin. I bring this up only because I have been thinking about my Granny's skin...it was so soft and she always smelled so nice...she was a mean old broad (I mean that lovingly!) and yet when she would pat my hand or when I would kiss her cheek when we left her house, it was always a comfort to feel her soft skin...am I being weird? I know that I am probably expressing this wrong.
    Also, my family is NOT touchy feely and no one EVER hugged...so I don't know why we always kissed Granny and Grandpa when we left their house.
    I think part of the reason I am thinking about it is that I could not go home to KC when she was dying. I was so poor and had no money and my mom wouldn't help me out because she felt it was best that I not be there since I loved Granny so much...the fact that I was 30 years old didn't stop her from treating me like a small child who needed to be protected from death...so I never got to hold her hand, kiss her on the cheek and say goodbye...I did get to do that with my dad...

    The weather people get paid a lot of money to not get things right...it did ice like they said, but, then we did not get horrible downpours and wind changing back to snow into tonight....we got some snow and now the sun is out....
