I have decided to stop my happy pills. Not in the horrible "stick it to my family" way that my mother has. I am just tired of taking them. I want to see if I can be the old me without the help of meds. Not the laying in bed refusing to go anywhere me...but the old "Let's go to Atlantic City RIGHT NOW! me.
I am doing it cold turkey. I have not had it in five days. I told myself that I would not be sick. I decided it is mind over matter. I have had a few problems. My tummy is very upset. I keep having the weird zappy feeling up my neck and into my brain...and the hot flashes!!! Oh, the evil evil evil hot flashes!!! It is not my age, it is called the paxil withdrawal flu. It is hitting @ 2:00 pm without fail. I am also getting chills, which is the other flu like symptom that happens. I think it is going pretty well. Linda at work knows and I told Cheryl and I will tell Tavie and now the WORLD!!!!!! Okay....not the world...just the few people who stop here every once i awhile.
I feel good about this.
