The house is so full and so cozy (though messy!) with goils and Oscar and Spike and Riley (and a special appearance from Matt this afternoon!!!!). There has been knitting and quilt sewing by everyone (except Oscar and I are not quilting and I am actually crocheting).Oscar is knitting the most fabulous scarf for Linn. We love him...he is adorable and helpful and washs dinner dishes and plays with kitties and puts on a happy face even though weather has kept him trapped inside a house full of goils! Hopefully we will get him out and about tomorrow.
Kitana and Ade are leaving tomorrow, which really really sucks!! I love them so and want them to stay.

All is now well. Spike is here and Riley is not pleased at all. He will get used to it though!

.So I'm trying to adopt this poor kitten that has spent the last 2 months living in a cage that is behind a glassed in booth. My landlady says it's okay. She tries to call these people several times to tell them so. I try to get in touch with differant people but only ever get message machines. My landlady calls me and says,"To hell with 'em. I'm not trying again." last night the head lady calls and says I can get the cat today at anytime before 6:00. I call when I leave work early to make arrangements and another lady says that she wants to leave right now and she is not staying another minute and that she did not want to be there in the first place. I tell her that I really want to get the cat so I can have tonight and tomorrow home with him and Riley to get them used to each other. I fly over there and when I get there, she won't let me have the cat. Tells me she can't get a hold of any of the people that can give her permission (what is the DEAL????? Don't they WANT to let you adopt??? Ever hear of cellphones, people????) and that I could be lying about my landlady. I tell her I am not and that my landlady left several messages. So we try calling her and of course she is not home. So, no cat for you...too bad you rushed up here...too bad the cat gets to spend even more time cooped up in a cage when he could be in a cozy house...I'm not hanging around till we can get a hold of anyone who will give me permission, you are probably a liar.
So I go to the parking lot and cry my eyes out and call Tavie and cry some more and now here I sit in my cozy house with Riley running happily about like a mad man, while the other cat gets to sit in a cold unfriendly environment till the store opens again on Thursday and maybe, just maybe these charity people will answer their phones and communicate with one another and after almost a weeks time a kitty will get a home. Then again maybe not with me, because my landlady is getting sick of the phone calls and trying to return them and might just telll them no.
