It's pretty sad that I had to run out and partially decorate my front steps with Christmas stuff. It is my only way to make sure that my crazy landlady doesn't come around and hang up ugly red glittery garland. The first year I lived here I almost started to cry when I pulled up to my house and saw what she had done to my front porch. It was awful. I vowed that it would never happen again and made sure I hung it by Thanksgiving last year. I'm so nervous that she may try to beat to it that I stood in the freezing rain and hung up some green garland and tiny understated bows. It's sad enough that she stuck a snowman that says 'Snow Alley!' in my front lawn at the beginning of October. Now, you may say, "Gina, why don't you tell her to stop?" I would reply that she is very old, very set in her ways and I don't have the heart.

Apparently Tavie and I are not going to visit Cheryl and Mike in their new digs because Tavie said we can't go if Cheryl doesn't blog

I have made covers for two pillows, thanks to Erin for figuring out how to thread the hand sewing thingy and to Tavie for sewing the top seam shut. They are mighty fine looking, although no one will be able to actually lean on them or anything due to the fragility of the seams. I am learning though and feel I will only improve.
I think that Erin is going to let us make big pillows for her, which would be a fun undertaking. Sewing in front of the fire. Erin wants to start a craft club for idiots that can't really sew, knit or crochet, but have fun trying. At first Tavie said that Linn and Matt could not join, but changed her mind when I said they would have to chose a craft they did not know. Anyone want to join?
