Sooooo, my dad has cancer...or maybe it is all gone after the operation he had today...I'm so freaked out. Why don't I live by them? Yesterday everything was fine till the afternoon when my sister called and said Dad was in the hospital and they were going to operate as sooon as possible. He went to the doctor and was put in the hospital immediatly...do not pass go, do not go home and get your books and p.j.s.
From all accounts he is doing fine and the Doctor thinks it was contained...we'll know for sure next week...my sister, her husband and son drove 20 hours so they could get there tonight...me? I'm sitting in Jersey trying to be calm...wish I was there so I could here him joking about feeling like a midget (he had an epideral) and Auggy telling him that he tought a vampire had got him cause of the big bloody catader ( i know that's not spelled right and I don't care) coming out of his neck. How cool was my Dad's I.C.U. nurse for letting a 6yr old go see his Papa (that's what he calls his grandpa) My Dad told John (the nurse) that seeing his Grandson would do him a world of good. Especially since Auggy had sat in a car for 20 hours without so much as one complaint. He wanted to see his Papa.
