Let's open it up to the crowd:

I am in love with this extremely feminine, girly dress. (The blue version.) I have a wedding to go to in a couple months and I want a new dress for it. I want this dress, really. I think. They actually make it in my size. My only qualm is the criss-cross bust, which may not fit me properly across my biggish chestishness. For that reason, I would like very much to try this dress on before purchasing it.

Howevs, every website I find it available on either has a crappy store-credit-only return policy, or doesn't carry my size (which is in the plus range.)

Now, the designer does sell through some NYC boutiques and I could possibly try and crawl through them all in hopes of finding this particular (Spring 2008) dress in my particular (big-ass, harder-to-find) size.

Or I could give up on this dress and get something a little plainer and boringer and cheaper and less frilly and old-timey.

But I like frilly and old-timey.

What to do?
