Aunt Barbara started a cooking blog that makes me drool. She made me and Andrew mods so we could post there, and Andrew writes some excellent, long, illustrated, detailed, and did I mention, hilarious recipes. They all come out looking (and tasting, so I'm told) delicious, but the way he gets from point A to point B is all his own. Aunt Barbara's recipes are shorter and more to the point, with a definite over-the-pond twist, as she lives in London. I have excellent childhood memories of Aunt Barb's cooking. Please post the recipe for your kiwi ices. As for myself, I rarely cook. I have a few dishes that I will make from time to time - ratatavie (ratatouille sans zucchini), Mint Manor salad, the Williamsburg gingerbread cookies - but I'm in no way a cook. Perhaps I'll post those recipes there, but I'll exhaust my arsenal quickly. Do read the blog. Andrew's adventures in Mushroom-Glazed Chicken with Carmelized Onions is a highly entertaining read. And I'm dying to make Aunt Barb's Grown-Up Dark Chocolate Pudding. |
