Gina and I and new neighbor Andrew went to a party at Jake-from-DFA's apartment to watch CNN and Comedy Central (and laugh at Droopy Dawg Hume and The Devil trying not to cry as they passed around their Fox News cookies.)

I almost didn't go but I'm so glad I did. It was good to be around people when it happened. It was good to feel part of a joyful collective watching as our country elects our first black president and demanding the return of brains and decency to the White House.
