I have a full-blown cold now. Come bring me soup. Why are you in Tavie's head? 11:57 PM | shower me with attention

    That's my yarn!
About two years ago, I received some white merino sock yarn as a gift. I hand-dyed it with food coloring and used it to make my favorite-ever piece of knitting, my broadstreet mittens. (They kept my hands nice and toasty in yesterday's frozen windiness.)
Browsing through the articles in the latest Knitty, I saw this article about handpainted yarn, and whaddya know, about halfway down the page, some yarn in my exact colorway. So I made for free what people are paying lotso lotso money for - soft, handpainted yarn.
I love my mittens. I lost a button on one of them. I need to replace the buttons. I want them to last a long time. Why are you in Tavie's head? 7:22 PM | shower me with attention

Gina and I both made nasty comments to the poor, innocent people on CBS trying to wish us a Merry Christmas, "from our family to yours."
"You're not my family, bitch," I replied to the tv, just as Gina said, "You're not a family."
"We're both being negative and nasty to the people on tv who are just trying to wish us a Merry Christmas," Gina observed a moment later.
  "That's because it's a Very Grumpy Christmas," I replied.
  "That should be our theme."
So it is. Why are you in Tavie's head? 9:21 PM | shower me with attention

I've been resisting it because of lack of funds, but the Christmas season is upon us and I've redecorated, at least the blog, for the occasion. (Reload if you don't see it.)
It's brrrrrrrrrrrrr out there and brrrrrrrrrr in my room, which is typically 20 degrees colder than the rest of the house anyway and you can really feel it when it's 30 degrees in Jersey City. I need to weather-proof my windows.
Good Studio 60 tonight, made me squeal and bite my knuckles (yes, Gina, we watched without you, but we're eager to watch it again) but... coconut? Really? Come on. Come on. Why are you in Tavie's head? 11:41 PM | shower me with attention

t's difficult to express how much I am LOVING seeing Mark on Studio 60. His character is intriguing, sad, intelligent. Counterintuitive to and paradoxically perfect for a comedy writer. I'm liking that they have to start from the ground up with the writing staff and are acknowledging how unfunny the sketches have been. I like that they're not making us suffer THROUGH the sketches.
Oh please, oh please, let there be more Mark-written scripts and Mark-acted episodes on this show. Why are you in Tavie's head? 1:51 PM | shower me with attention

There is something crazy wrong with my left knee.
It's freaking me out a little bit. Why are you in Tavie's head? 2:17 AM | shower me with attention
