So we're trying to plan our Italian Christmas and we can't think of any Italian-themed Christmas movies. Isn't that sad? Don't you think there should be some sort of warm holiday sugarfest starring Lainie Kazan as the matriarch of a big, squabbling, loving Italian family at Christmastime? Someone make this movie.

In its absence, we'll watch the usual-- Scrooged, The Ref, Mixed Nuts, A Christmas Story, my various Pee Wee and Muppet specials... perhaps we'll throw Moonstruck in there for good measure. It's not Christmas-y, but they do go to The Met. That's very Christmas-y in my family.
