Sorry I haven't blogged since Thursday. I've been incredibly exhausted and sick of the computer, and also, my mother has been refusing to hide the fact that she reads my blog again, which makes me unable to say anything here. (And I know you're reading too, Tante Joan.)

If people can't even maintain this mutual illusion that we've set up here, I will be completely stifled and unable to use this outlet anymore. So just quit it and go away please.

Now to the business of recapping the last few days:

1. Happy belated SERRA (whose real name is SARAH) DAY! It was yesterday according to the clock. She and her brother were born on August 4 and August 6, so they celebrated together on August 5 at a very cool bar with comfy couches that I very much enjoyed lounging on. (Did I mention how extremely exhausted I've been?) Anyway it just reminded me that if I think it's bad to have to share a birthday with my sister, I can't imagine having to share birthday parties growing up when it's not EVEN on the same day!

2. I saw an amazing movie that knocked my socks off my ass: Spirited Away.

I was supposed to have watched it ages ago. I think it took me so long because the Yu-Baaba character scares me so much. Miyazaki's character design sometimes gives me the willies. I'm very sensitive to scary animation. But it was worth it, the movie is absolutely breathtaking. One of the most imaginative things I've ever seen. The man is a genius.

3. I played Scrabble in a bar tonight.

4. Good night.
