We've had to move at work because of construction and mayhem, and I've lost my beloved, beloved desk, tucked away in a cozy corner far from the reach of casual passersby and blabbermouths.

Because every other location in the office is equally Not My Beloved Desk, I agreed to temporarily move to one of the big cubes across from J-Rock. The two of us are separated from the rest of the department, who are crunched into the rows that we'll all move into in a couple of weeks. But in the meanwhile, J-Rock and I are aswim in a sea of chatty walk-abouts. My new desk is bigger than I know what to do with, and next to a noisy fax machine. I feel like a tiny rabbit in the middle of an unprotected field. (I finally finished Watership Down and it was one of those books I wish had never ended. I miss those bunnies. I miss them a lot.)
