I know I described the walk that Kirsten, Tante Joan and I took across the Brooklyn Bridge on Christmas Day at sunset. I forgot to mention that some of the lights on the red-and-white "Verizon" sign were out, so that it looked like this:

e Zon

e Zon.

Ease on. Ease on down the road.

Kirsten and I sang that song together the rest of the way across. You know, in the movie of The Wiz, the cross the Brooklyn Bridge to get to the Emerald City. Downtown Manhattan is the Emerald City. It really looked like it that night, too.

See? Matt Besser-as-Bjork was right: Everything can be a musical!
