I am very frustrated. I am stuck on a knitting pattern. It is making me crazy. I have no idea how to proceed. I think the pattern is just written very badly, but I can't figure it out.

I asked the knitting forum people for help and am checking obsessively every half hour to see if anyone has posted a reply. That is sad. I'm trying to stop doing that. All good little old ladies are in bed at 4 in the morning.
