I started learning a new thing at work yesterday. It's something about Customer Service. It has to do with long lists of books that big chain bookstores had ordered from us and for some reason never received. I'm supposed to be learning how to find out why they never received them. It's this whole big thing with databases and scrolling through hundreds of pages of invoices. I'm like a database detective. It's very uninteresting. It makes me feel slow and stupid, like Alice at the beginning of Alice in Wonderland.

I think that if I go into publishing for real (and god knows I have no better ideas right now), I will definitely not want to continue in the sales department. Although for now it's okay. They're nice people.

Anyway, I have this job thing nailed down and I'm halfway moved out of my parents' place. (Sorta. I still don't pay any rent at all so I don't know if it can count.) Still, them's good adulthood steps. Yes?
