Now, I just called my boss. My boss-boss, the one who got my assignment extended in the first place and really likes me. She told me she came in today after being out two days and this was news to her too, but it makes sense, she says, because they've had so little for me to do lately and it's just been getting less and less and it's time to end it.

Which means, yay, it's not my "fault"-- but it also means that I have to go in tomorrow, and Friday, and go out to lunch with her, and smile at everyone in the office, and say, "Oh, it's okay, you know-- I really need to concentrate on my schoolwork." And although this is completely true-- although I've been wanting to leave for awhile-- it will now sound completely false. It will look like a brave face. Dag. Nab. Bit.
