Shit. Just shit. I'm so glad Andrew is 18, but I'm also so scared and sorry he's had to be an adult for so much longer than this already.

No, today's not his birthday. I just heard from him after trying to get in touch with him for a few days, along with everyone else who knows him. And it's been a bad holiday for him, and it's going to get worse, and I thought I was an adult, but I don't even come vaguely close.
