A lot of you email me with questions about Dave, and a lot of people have the same questions. Making a FAQ was only logical.
If you have any questions you'd like to see added to this, go ahead and ask 'em.

  1. Where can I write to Dave?

I wish I knew the answer to that. Unfortunately, the address listed in the back of the Tour 2000 booklet has been reported as not working, and as of the moment there is no address that I know of where you can get in touch with Dave.

  2. But don't you have his email address? I thought I heard that somewhere.

    Lies, vicious lies!

  3. Where can I see Dave's ex-wife Tabitha in Kids in the Hall sketches?

Tabitha can be seen in three sketches that I know of: In "Cleaning up the Country", where Dave and Kevin's girlfriends go to Mexico and the boys use the opportunity to party in various cities, she plays Dave's girlfriend. In "Subject of Me" about spleens, she is the woman Dave walks hand-in-hand with and kisses repeatedly. Additionally, in the "Pie-Eating Contest" sketch, Dave plays a guy weeping over a picture of himself, Tabitha and a dog.

  4. Is Dave married now?

On August 1, 2002, Dave married his girlfriend of 2.5 years, Crissy Guerrero. Crissy is an L.A.-based actress and singer who first came to Foley fans' attention when she co-starred with him in Andy Prieboy's musical, "White Trash Wins Lotto". She is best known for being the lead El Vette, or backup singer for El Vez, the Mexican Elvis. She can be seen in the Dave-directed documentary Kids in the Hall: Same Guys, New Dresses for which she also served as co-editor, and her angelic voice can be heard in the DVD extra feature entitled "Kevin Eats Soup". On a personal note, Crissy is a woman who I love and admire immensely from the brief and intermittent contact I've had with her over the years. Dave couldn't have found a more warm and wonderful person to share his life with, in my humble opinion.

On April 16, 2003, Crissy gave birth to their daughter, Alina Chiara Foley. She sent the following message to me to share: Alina Chiara Foley was born on April 16, 2003 at 6:00 AM on the dot. She weighed 7 lbs, 3 oz and stretched out to 19 inches. We couldn't be more blissed out! xxCrissy & Dave

  5. Can you please pass this message on to Dave for me?

I'm afraid I don't have the power to do that.

  6. I heard that Dave was responsible for the Kids in the Hall breaking up. Is that true?

Absolutely not. For one thing, the Kids never considered themselves "officially broken up", as evidenced by their tour (which was NOT, officially, known as a "reunion tour") last year. The decision to end the television show in 1995 was one that was mutually agreed upon by all five of the guys.

  7. Why isn't Dave credited with writing "Brain Candy"?

Although Dave did, in fact, contribute to the writing of Brain Candy, because of his commitment to begin making "NewsRadio", he was not available for as much time as the other Kids and Norm Hiscock; therefore he is not credited as an official writer.

  8. Where does Dave live?

Remember that "none of our business" category I mentioned earlier? Anyway... he divides his time between homes in L.A. and Toronto.

  9. I heard Dave's in "Three Men and A Baby", "Anne of Avonlea" and "Echoes in the Darkness". Where can I see him in these things?

Dave plays a supermarket checker towards the beginning of "Three Men and a Baby", in the scene where Tom Selleck goes to the supermarket to buy baby food. Blink and you'll miss his line. (If you listen closely over the P.A. system, you can hear a voice summoning "Mr Foley".) Dave plays Lewis Allen in his brief role in "Anne of Avonlea" (in Canada, "Anne of Green Gables, The Sequel"). He is a former schoolmate of Anne's who boasts and dances with her during a ball scene, closer to the end of the film than the beginning. I've never seen "Echoes in the Darkness", but apparently Dave has a VERY brief role as a student testifying in a courtroom towards the end of the miniseries.

  10. Where can I get a copy of "The Wrong Guy"?

Now Videoflicks will not be the only place selling this incredibly hilarious movie. In September of 2002, The Wrong Guy is released on DVD in the US and Canada!

  11. Where can I get a copy of "High Stakes"?

As far as I know, "High Stakes" isn't available at a "buying price" for official sale. You might find it for upwards of $100 at video stores. I would check eBay, and ask around KITH fans, as Comedy Central used to air this movie and many people have this on tape.

  12. How tall is Dave?

    Official word is 5'9".

  13. Did Dave really drop out of high school?

    Acccording to a 1995 Tom Snyder interview, Dave stopped going to his alternative high school around 11th grade. Unless you've experienced extreme success in the field of theatre and comedic improvisation, and have met yourself a Kevin McDonald, I'd suggest staying in school. {g}

  14. Does Dave really drink 50 cups of coffee a day?

That's what he says. Crazy, eh?

  15. Does Dave visit your website?

No idea. (Okay, so I submitted this question myself. Leave me alone, eh? {g})

  16. So, don't you have a life or anything?

Say, that was mean! No more questions! :P
