It's been a crazy few days. My friend Cheryl was rushed into emergency surgery for a peptic ulcer that ruptured and had major, 7-hour surgery to repair it. Gina and I have been at the hospital, helping her husband Mush through it and visiting Cheryl. Amid all that, we saw Avatar and finally got Christmas put away and the apartment semi-cleaned. I feel ready to collapse, but my sister's supposedly on her way to cook us a Japanese meal.
