Last night we (Gina, Kirsten, Mom and I) took Tante Joan for fondue at the Melting Pot in Hoboken to celebrate TJ's birthday. Somehow, TJ managed to sneakily pay for it. I found that out today. (Yes, Mom, I can keep a secret real well.)

Grr. It's impossible to pay for anything where Tante Joan is concerned. Not complaining - she's ridonkulously generous - but for her own birthday I expect to be able to treat.

Today I met up with the women in my tiny family again and we drove to Tarrytown, NY to see the Flying Karamazov Brothers. They're a family favorite. We've enjoyed them since the 1987 PBS airing of their version of Comedy of Errors at Lincoln Center. There's only one original member of the troupe left, but the new guys are really good. They put on a really entertaining show. I am no hipster; I enjoy the jugglers.
