Baby alpaca cap and scarf
Originally uploaded by Tavie
Today we started pulling out Christmas decorations for our first Christmas at the HOB. The Christmas season officially starts when you see Santa at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, you know.

It's also chilly enough out that I've been knitting lately. I went a little nuts and bought myself a ball of the Misti Baby Alpaca Chunky in Peacock Melange, to match the stuff I used for my ponytail cap from last winter, and I'm making myself a scarf to match. Because I don't have enough scarves, apparently.

Why's it so much easier to knit for myself than for other people? What's that called?

Ah, yes. Greed.
