Subject: Getting you up to speed

So you're not surprised when you get home:

1. I called in sick today, not having slept, and am coughing and sinus-y and all the fun stuff. I didn't want to, I would have gone in if I'd gotten any sleep, but I just can't do it with no sleep.

2. I slept for about an hour and then woke to go to the bathroom and take some Tylenol Cough & Cold (PM). That's when I noticed all of the chewed-up foil on the ground. Puppy had gotten into the bag of Hershey's kisses left on the coffee table. He vomited chocolate all over the house.

3. I called Gina, who came home. While we waited for her I put Oxyclean on the carpet and left paper towels on the spots but they'll have to be scrubbed at later with water. I don't have the energy to do it right now, the cats aren't poking at the towels so I think it's okay.

4. Gina arrived and we took him to the vet. He's fine, they gave him charcoal and we have to give him pills for a couple of days. He's still vomiting a little clear stuff now and then. Puppy Mama gets home Monday.

5. I may finally get some sleep now. Bad luck taking the Tylenol PM right before all the drama happened. Sigh. Cough.
