Last night's Department Dinner was the best yet, I think. It was pretty good, anyway. We got a more lively bunch than in dinners past. Kirsten brought everyone cupcakes from Magnolia's, one last time.

I'm at Andrew's post-horrorfest. We only watched 2 and a half movies, but they were good ones. I saw Jaws for the first time. It was pretty damn good. We also did some classics from horrorfests past: We got through Invasion of the Body Snatchers and half of Night of the Living Dead. Are there any movies where Jeff Goldblum doesn't play an ass? Maybe ~~Elephant~~Tall Guy and Independence Day...

My beloved leather Mary Janes from erin finally died, so I picked up some cheap-ass Payless replacements which pinch my feet, because I am a ~~tightwad~~ pauper. Hmm. I want my raise. Mama wants a decent pair o' shoes.

I'm surprising my parents. Every month Andrew and his dad host a meeting of ~~geeks~~ Fans at their apartment, which my parents attend, as it is my father's primary social outlet. I decided to stick around today and surprise them. Also it's a long damn trip back home from Inwood so I'm putting it off as long as possible.
