Last night's Department Dinner was the best yet, I think. It was pretty good, anyway. We got a more lively bunch than in dinners past. Kirsten brought everyone cupcakes from Magnolia's, one last time.

I'm at Andrew's post-horrorfest. We only watched 2 and a half movies, but they were good ones. I saw Jaws for the first time. It was pretty damn good. We also did some classics from horrorfests past: We got through Invasion of the Body Snatchers and half of Night of the Living Dead. Are there any movies where Jeff Goldblum doesn't play an ass? Maybe ElephantTall Guy and Independence Day...

My beloved leather Mary Janes from erin finally died, so I picked up some cheap-ass Payless replacements which pinch my feet, because I am a tightwad pauper. Hmm. I want my raise. Mama wants a decent pair o' shoes.

I'm surprising my parents. Every month Andrew and his dad host a meeting of geeks Fans at their apartment, which my parents attend, as it is my father's primary social outlet. I decided to stick around today and surprise them. Also it's a long damn trip back home from Inwood so I'm putting it off as long as possible.
