On the way home tonight from dinner with Lady J (Captain Annoying's girlfriend) and Kirsten-- I owed Lady J a frozen hot chocolate or dessert-y equivalent for hurting her deep-down-inside-where-she-is-soft-like-a-woman-- specifically, for going to Rhode Island instead of the Museum of Natural History with them last Sunday), Kirsten and I rode the tram to get home, of course, and for the first time in 15 years, I was actually afraid during the ride. The wind was blowing so hard that the entire tram seemed to tilt nearly sideways several times. I had visions from several awful movies during what had always been a perfectly ordinary, usually pleasant 4-minute ride.

So that was interesting.

Stupid sleet.
