Oh oh oh! I finished knitting Peņa's birthday cap just in time, an hour before dinner! It came out beautifully. It was a simple skull cap with a ribbed brim (unfolded) and I knitted this skull (the larger one) in the center on the front. It was my first try at intarsia (2-colour, you laymen) knitting and it wasn't nearly as hard as I'd thought. I need some practice but it ended up just beautiful. I used Rowan Wool Cotton in black, with the skull in purple.

I'm so pleased. I wish I'd gotten a picture of it before I gave it to her, but my mom has the camera in Peru with her.
