After today's depressing financial update, an old-school Broadway musical was refreshing. I was afraid Harvey Fierstein wouldn't be able to pull off the more dramatic moments-- he was fine with the comedic ones-- but he did an excellent job. The best part of the show was the incredible Andrea Martin as Golde. And the ending was suitably emotional, which I demand in a musical.

I love how I write these little reviews as if anyone at all but myself was remotely interested in my reaction to a musical, but I always do, because this is, I sometimes forget, for me. Me, me, me. And I like to remember how I felt after seeing a musical.

I felt good.
