I didn't get Disney World, but I did get my relaxing weekend of make-up sleep, martinis and learning how to play poker. I actually won, too. Even though I still don't understand what hands beat what. Memorizing that is like memorizing Latin for me. I just don't care enough to learn. But I will, anyway. I need to watch some more of those tutorial films by Hollywood legend Cecil B. Demille (or was it Bruce LaBruce?)

I brought my grandma's old lazy susan of poker chips over to live at The Penthouse. It begs the question: what was my grandma doing with all those poker chips? She was so not the poker-playing type. Are there any other games that use chips, that seem more likely to be played by little old tightfisted Jewish ladies?
