So I wasn't even paying attention when dear Professor Mayer was handing out the National Latin Exam certificates, but I wasn't surprised when I didn't get an Honourable Mention Certificate. Lucky to be passing.

I was surprised to get a silver medal, though. Ha!

Good ole Professor Magister brought in cookies and juice and Latin cartoons today to celebrate our classmate, Donna, placing 3rd in the Latin pronunciation competition thing, and our NLE results, and just because we felt more like partying than studying after Spring Break. (S&G ended 45 minutes early, too.) I enjoyed the cartoons, if not the cookies and juice. (Two pounds down this week. No desire for cookies or juice.) Boy, I'm gonna miss him come semester's end. Everyone I've met from the Classics Department has been really great. Classics Professors are swell. Who bakes cookies for his class? A great guy, that's who.

Dinner with the goils tonight. Gai tom ka not as dangerously carby as I'd feared, although it is if you eat a gallon of it. :P

My mom got us tickets to Hairspray on Saturday night. I'm very excited.
