So, we're back. At Linn's parents' place. But tonight we're moving my stuff over to Linn's apartment across town. Since her computer was stolen at Easter, it means I won't have internet access except through my phone, which means no blogging. How will I survive? But I've been doing pretty well without the computer, no?

She did have an ancient, modemless laptop at the country house, so I wrote some logs and saved them for the blog. I would post them now but I can't seem to find the disk drive so I'll just have to do it later. It was strange to "blog" to MS Word. Took some getting used to. I'm used to launching things directly into the ether. I coined a phrase: I was "dry-blogging". Right now I'm wetblogging, or just plain blogging-- the post will go directly into the water.

There was lots to say, though. The countryside swelled my eyeballs and soul with beauty. That's prime record-keeping material. I missed my blog more than ever. I really should learn how to keep a private journal so I don't have to be dependent on an internet connection to keep my records. But I like it this way.

It's funny how much time I spend listening to the meaningless music of Swedish conversation and NOT being bored. Although occasionally I will brattily remind Linn/Oscar/Emma that I have no idea what they're saying, with the following international sign of incomprehension: "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!" Oscar found it funny that I would perk up my ears whenever I heard my name mentioned, so he started randomly throwing my name into Swedish conversations.

(In case the unLinnformed are trying to keep track, by the way, Linn is my Swedish internet pal, met during the first Kids in the Hall tour; Emma is her younger sister, a DJ/animal-lover with intimidating good looks and down-to-earth friendliness, and Oscar is Linn's charming and handsome young boyfriend.)
