Last night I met Matt for dinner and Roam, Roam, Roaming. We were both felt sleepy and dull. Tonight I shall meet him for dinner again (with Gina in tow). Two nights in a row? Perhaps I am a Matt junkie?

Today I got fingerprinted and photographed for my slut job, which starts Monday and will take place on Wall Street, which is inconveniently far from my school. If I work from 9 to 5, I will only have 35 minutes to navigate the increasingly frustrating subway system to get to class in time.

I passed by the NYSE and stared at the boys in blue blazers. (There were also girls in blue blazers.) I went into a deli to enjoy a Diet Coke and read some Robertson Davies and, quite appropriately, the passage I read was all about the misguided life of The Businessman. It made me feel inappropriately smug.

Now I am home and I will sleep and enjoy the last vestiges of my summer. Back to Mint Manor tonight to while these last few days away.

(I wonder where Jess is.)
