I was checking serra's blog today to see if it had been updated and that's when I realized that she'd been in the city and I'd missed her for the SECOND time. Could I be any more of a deadbeat? I was supposed to go meet her Sunday and by the time I remembered that it was Wednesday. Jesus Christ.

Well. I also haven't written or sent the EPCOT postcards I got Goose and Jess. I emailed Jess and then realized she was away from her computer. Which means she sent me this wonderful present and it looks like I haven't acknowledged it at all.

PLUS I still don't have a job.

All of which adds up to me being the World's Biggest Deadbeat.

On the plus side, in half an hour it will be Gina's birthday. My mom took us out to dinner tonight with Kirsten and Erica to a wonderful Italian restaurant on Bleecker street. It was a very fine meal. I gave Gina the Flik shirt I got from "Animal Kingdom" which is too small for me and likely too small for her, too (we're roughly the same size). Crappity crap. So we both have a good losing-weight-incentive. I just put up a cheezy Happy Birthday banner in the kitchen. I hope she notices it tomorrow before she leaves for work. And Kirsten ran out during dinner and got her cupcakes from Magnolia's. I wanted to get her a real cake but Magnolia's is horribly expensive, and anyhow they're the best cupcakes in the world, quite literally. They're all for Gina. I'm going to stick candles in them.

Thassabout it.

Oh! Gina and her family/friends will be going to Disney World in January, at the same time we're going! Hot damn it's gonna be awesome. I'll finally get to meet her sister and nephew, and she can meet Steph, and she'll ride the "Escape from Ileana Douglas" ride with me which is so damn awesome.
